Description

FOXO4-DRI (D-Retro-Inverso) is a modified peptide designed to disrupt the interaction between the FOXO4 transcription factor and p53 tumor suppressor protein in senescent cells. Cellular senescence — a state of permanent cell cycle arrest — contributes to aging and age-related pathologies through the senescence-associated secretory phenotype (SASP). FOXO4-DRI works by competitively interfering with the FOXO4-p53 interaction that normally protects senescent cells from apoptosis, effectively removing senescent cells’ survival advantage and promoting their selective clearance. This ‘senolytic’ mechanism has been studied in preclinical aging models for its effects on tissue rejuvenation, physical fitness restoration, and organ function improvement. The D-Retro-Inverso modification (using D-amino acids in reversed sequence) enhances proteolytic stability. Supplied as a lyophilized powder. For research use only.
