Description

GHRP-6 (Growth Hormone Releasing Peptide-6) is a synthetic hexapeptide and one of the earliest developed growth hormone secretagogues. It stimulates growth hormone release by acting as an agonist at the ghrelin/GHS-R1a receptor on somatotroph cells of the anterior pituitary. GHRP-6 also amplifies the natural GH-releasing hormone (GHRH) signal, creating a synergistic effect when combined with GHRH analogs. A distinguishing characteristic of GHRP-6 is its notable appetite-stimulating effect, which is stronger than most other GHS compounds due to robust ghrelin pathway activation. GHRP-6 also influences cortisol and prolactin secretion at higher doses.
