Description

Gonadorelin Acetate is the acetate salt form of gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH), a naturally occurring decapeptide produced by hypothalamic neurons. GnRH is the master regulator of the hypothalamic-pituitary-gonadal (HPG) axis, released in a pulsatile fashion from the hypothalamus to stimulate the anterior pituitary to secrete both luteinizing hormone (LH) and follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH). The pulsatile pattern of GnRH release is critical for maintaining normal gonadotropin secretion — continuous exposure leads to receptor desensitization and suppression of LH/FSH release. Gonadorelin has been used extensively in research to study HPG axis function, pituitary responsiveness, and reproductive endocrinology. It serves as a diagnostic tool for assessing pituitary gonadotroph function. Supplied as a lyophilized powder. For research use only.
