Epithalon

Description

Epithalon (also known as Epitalon or Epithalone) is a synthetic tetrapeptide consisting of four amino acids: Ala-Glu-Asp-Gly. It is based on the natural peptide Epithalamin, which is produced by the pineal gland. Epithalon has been extensively researched for its potential anti-aging and neuroprotective properties, with studies focused on its ability to regulate melatonin production, influence circadian rhythms, and activate telomerase — the enzyme responsible for maintaining telomere length. Research has shown that Epithalon can stimulate melatonin secretion from the pineal gland, exhibit antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects by scavenging free radicals and enhancing superoxide dismutase and catalase activity, and may help maintain telomere length through telomerase activation.
