Description
Sermorelin (GRF 1-29) is a synthetic peptide consisting of the first 29 amino acids of the naturally occurring 44-amino acid Growth Hormone Releasing Hormone (GHRH). This biologically active fragment retains full agonist activity at the GHRH receptor, stimulating pulsatile growth hormone release from anterior pituitary somatotroph cells. Sermorelin activates GHRH-R signaling through the cAMP/PKA pathway, promoting GH gene transcription, synthesis, and vesicle exocytosis in a physiological pulsatile pattern. It has been extensively studied in clinical research as a diagnostic agent for GH deficiency and as a research tool for understanding GH axis physiology. Sermorelin produces a natural GH release pattern that maintains the feedback regulation of the GH/IGF-1 axis. Supplied as a lyophilized powder. For research use only.
